Ripe apple, peach and pear, backed by taut minerality
The wine comes from a vineyard planted on a southeast-facing slope whose soil is rich in quartz, which gave the wine its name. After hand harvesting, the grapes see six hours of skin contact and fermentation in stainless steel, followed by two months on the full lees and a further four months on fine lees. The nose shows ripe apple, peach, pear, flowers and herbs; the palate brings a refreshing impression of citrus peel and a tropical hint over a mineral base, leading to a fresh finish.
