Four varieties, two fermentation methods, one bottle. A crunchy, lively red
A blend from vines 20–35 years old, planted on poor schist on the slopes of the Leitha Mountains. The wine combines two winemaking approaches: Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt that ferment as whole bunches, and Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that undergo carbonic maceration. After spontaneous fermentation in 600 L barrels and in a concrete egg, the wine ages for a year and a half on the lees and is bottled unfiltered. The result is an open, direct red wine with aromas of redcurrant and spice, a medium, crunchy body, soft tannin and refreshing acidity.
