The winery's flagship wine, made continuously since 1990 from Merlot, Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt from the vineyards of Gols, which over the years has become even more restrained and elegant. Spontaneous fermentation, aging in wooden barrels and natural clarification. It is named after the Komondor – a Hungarian sheepdog of an ancient breed. The nose shows spiced black fruit, cranberry, tobacco, mandarin peel and nougat; the palate is powerful and juicy, with plenty of black cherry and blueberry, ripe, polished tannin, minerality and a hint of chocolate, leading to a long finish.
