Christine's 2022 Pinot Noir is her most dialed-in, elegant expression yet. Cool-climate German Pinot showing finesse and purity. The grapes are hand-picked, partly destemmed, and skin-fermented for about 4 weeks to extract colour, tannin, and complexity gently. After gentle pressing, the wine ages in used oak barrels for about a year. One racking from barrels straight into bottle - nothing added, nothing removed. Zero sulphites. The used oak provides subtle structure without dominating the delicate Pinot character. Beautiful ruby red. Aromas: ripe strawberry, raspberry, waxy cherry, light florals, hint of smokiness, subtle earthiness. Palate: smooth and balanced, soft tannins, fresh acidity, red berry fruit, earthy complexity. Clean, refined finish. "Like its winemaker: decidedly cheerful and heart warming at first glance, but reveals complexity and character upon closer inspection. Serious drinking fun!" Perfect with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, soft cheeses, or mushroom dishes. Zero SO₂ | Wild yeast | Aged in used oak | Unfined, unfiltered | Drink 2024-2028
