Mixed set, vineyards were planted with Müller Thurgau, Goldburger, Scheurebe, Pinot Blanc, Welschriesling, Riesling, Gewürztraminer and other varieties in the 70s, this results in a very unique wine with notes of gooseberries, papaya, orange and lime , salty and nutty aromas and a hint of herbal tea and bread crust, held together by harmonizing acidity. A wine that anyone with even the slightest urge to explore should try.

The Sarmat period refers to the geological era 12 million years ago, in which the subsoil of the landscape around Straden was formed through lime deposits. It is this Sarmat gravel, mixed with volcanic pegmatites, that characterizes the precise, elegant, mineral character of Christoph Neumeister's wines.

A lot of work is necessary for this character to emerge. Organic cultivation, old vines, hand picking, extended mashing times, gentle and slow aging in the cellar and spontaneous fermentation ensure that you can taste the origin of the wine.
