Sauvignon Blanc Sandstein Bio 2023

Forget the screaming Sauvignon with grass and green pepper. This is Sauvignon Blanc grown on red sandstone, under scorching Pannonian sun, facing a lake that cools it at night. The result? Sauvignon with character.
Ried Wolfsbach - historic vineyard (the wine was called "Wolfsbach," now "Sandstein" after the soil) on sandstone that holds heat and provides sweetness, spice, depth. The climate here is extreme - days of 35°C, nights dropping to 15°C, and the lake balances everything. This isn't a Sauvignon Blanc region, but that's exactly what makes it special.
In the glass: Yellow-green with silver gleam. On the nose: Explosion of fresh cassis, pink grapefruit peel, golden pineapple, elderflower, and exotic hint of lychee. On the palate: Juicy and refreshing, white fruits mix with sharp citrus, there's gentle sweetness of ripe fruit, and lively acidity refreshes like a breeze. The finish is saline and inviting for another sip.
This is wine for fish carpaccio with lime, sautéed seafood, rich salad, an evening outside.
