Aurora is Christine's most personal wine - a blend crafted purely by her palate across varieties and vintages. "Aurora is the feeling when surrounded by friends - come as you are!" she says. It's a wine about community, not rules. A mix of plots from around Burg Layen village showcases the region's incredible soil diversity: red and blue schist, light sandy quartz-pebbles (Quarzite-Kieselstein), and heavier red clay-loess. The grapes are hand-picked, then partly macerated on skins for 5 days, partly direct-pressed. A blend of 2022 and 2023 vintages. Partly aged in used barrels, partly in stainless to keep it breezy and juicy. The wine changes glass to glass - alive, dynamic, evolving.
